Shougayaki ginger and olive oil

  • 100-150 grams thinly sliced pork loin
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sake
  • 1 teaspoon mirin (or sugar)
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • cabbage
Preparation

Mix the seasonings: ginger, soy sauce, sake and mirin in a bowl. Season the meat with salt and pepper on both sides, and heat the extra virgin olive oil in a frying pan. Cook the meat in the oil, taking care to brown it well on both sides. The thin pork will cook quickly.

Add the sauce/seasoning mix, making sure the meat is covered with it, and heat everything so that a harmonious blend is created.

Serve immediately, on a bed of cabbage leaves.
