Teppanyaki with olive oil and chili sauce

● Beef (2/3 cm thick cut)
● 1 sweet white onion
● 1 bell bell pepper
● 1 Zucchini (although zucchini is not used in Japan and is very rare to find in grocery stores)
● 1/4 Kabocha squash
● 8 Shiitake mushrooms
● Extra virgin olive oil
For the sauce:
● 1/2 dried chili pepper
● 1/4 cup soy sauce
● 1 teaspoon of sugar
● 2 tablespoons of Mirin
● 1 teaspoon of grated garlic
● 1/2 tablespoon of sesame seeds
● 1 teaspoon olive oil
Preparation Start by preparing the sauce for the beef. You can put all the ingredients in a kitchen mixer and run it on full power. The olive oil will create a perfectly dense emulsion.
Slice the vegetables. Look out for the thicknesses because it will affect the flavor of your dish. For mushrooms, use only the "cap" and set aside the stems for a soup or velouté.
Heat the teppan grill after greasing it with olive oil. Start grilling the vegetables and the meat at the same time. Place the grilled vegetables and meat on a steel tray that will keep the heat and drizzle everything with fresh, fragrant oil. Enjoy!
